SUBJECT SPECIFIC MAXIMUM INTAKE AS GENERAL PAPER

Please Note: PRACTICAL BASED SUBJECTS for B.A. course are Geography & Physical Education.

 

  • Not more than TWO LITERATURE SUBJECTS can be taken as combination subjcets in any course, be it Honours or General.

  • No PRACTICAL BASED SUBJECTS can be taken as General elective paper as combination with B.A. HONOURS COURSE.

  • GEOGRAPHY and PHYSICAL EDUCATION can NOT be taken together as a combination for General elective papers in B.A. GENERAL COURSE.

  • MATHEMATICS is COMPULSORY for all B.Sc. General paper combinations, obviously not in case of MATHEMATICS (HONOURS).

  • Candidate opted for PHYSICAL EDUCATION as an elective combination subjcet should be physically fit to be considered for final selection and HOLDER OF AUTHENTICATED CERTIFICATE FOR SUCCESS IN SPORTS MEET IN DISTRICT LEVEL OR ABOVE will be given priority.
    •

      NOTE

    • 3 % of seats in each category are reserved for physically challenged candidates.
    • Environment Studies is a common General paper in Part-III for both Honours and General Courses.
    • Communicative English and Major Indian Language (e.g. Bengali) are two compulsory papers of 50 marks each in Part-I Examination.
